NGT’s BG4MC0M-1 is a pneumatic counterbalance valve that will hold a load in position until pressure or force is applied to move the load. Counterbalance valves help prevent cylinder runaway for vertical cylinders carrying a load. The BG4MC0M-1 has 1/4 BSPP in/out ports and a blocked pilot port. The valve is internally piloted via a small air channel connecting both sides of the valve. As pressure builds in the valve during cylinder runaway, the valve will flutter and not reopen until the pilot signal is energized, continuously modulating. It has standard temperature seals and an extended manual release.
